Terumo helps care teams choose life-support, sterile consumables, and dental workflows with less friction.

From ICU infusion and ECMO conversations to infection-control replenishment and dental operatory planning, our clinical advisors translate device requirements into plain operational plans for hospitals, ASCs, dental groups, and home-health programs.

Care settings

Start with the environment your team supports every day.

Hospital ICU

Infusion pumps, ECMO support accessories, and alarm governance with IEC 60601-1-8 priority bands.

Perioperative / ASC

Sterile access devices, procedure kits, and turnover-friendly infection-control packs.

SPD & Infection Prevention

Lot-visible consumables, disinfectant workflows, and UDI-ready recall sweeps.

Dental Practices

Dental needles, chairside sterile supplies, and operatory layout guidance for group practices.

Home Health

Portable respiratory accessories, caregiver teach-back, and replenishment cadence.

Biomed & Supply Chain

PM windows, parts staging, GPO alignment, and CMMS-friendly service notes.

Advisor-led implementation

Clear next steps for devices, sterility, and training.

Alarm & infusion governance

Map high, medium, and low-priority alerts and dose-error reduction expectations before go-live under IEC 60601-1-8.

Single-use vs reusable economics

Compare SAL 10⁻⁶ sterile barrier needs, EO or steam reprocessing burden, and unused-open waste for your case mix.

UDI & lot traceability

Keep GS1-ready labels, IFU access, and MedWatch response notes visible for infection-control and dental SKUs.

Service & loaner coverage

Match preventive maintenance, parts depots, and loaner access to ICU, ASC, and dental clinic schedules.

Caregiver & clinician learning

Use teach-back checklists, multilingual refreshers, and role-based demos for RT, nursing, and dental assistants.

"The Terumo planning packet finally gave our value analysis committee one conversation for infusion pumps, sterile access, and dental clinic sterile supply — with UDI, service tiers, and training owners written down."

Procurement lens

Ask for a 7–10 year TCO view that includes capital, service, consumables, downtime cost, training, and decommissioning — not sticker price alone. GPO alignment (Premier, Vizient, HealthTrust) and CMS HCPCS documentation can be reviewed during intake.

Common questions

Answers before the first planning call.

Do you support our existing biomed team?

Yes. Terumo augments internal biomed teams with Tier 2 and Tier 3 troubleshooting, preventive maintenance planning, and documentation that can attach to CMMS work orders.

How do you handle FDA field notices?

UDI-based device and accessory records help identify affected lots quickly when FDA MedWatch or manufacturer field notices require action.

Can you compare CPAP vs BiPAP pathways?

For respiratory programs, we separate clinical indication, titration workflow, and service parts — we do not claim one modality is universally superior without your protocol context.

What about single-use vs reusable instruments?

We help map sterility assurance, reprocessing labor, water/chemistry use, and disposal mass so infection prevention and sustainability officers can decide with local data.

Do dental groups get the same service model?

Dental practices receive a lighter fleet model focused on sterile needles, chairside kits, autoclave adjacency, and assistant training — not ICU-scale FSE coverage unless requested.

What happens during remote support?

Remote sessions are scheduled, role-based, and documented. PHI is not retained in service notes, and cybersecurity requirements are reviewed before connection.
